Our journey sparked back in College (Texas A&M, Whoop!) when we worked together at a local coffee shop. Getting to help build an environment and create experiences around such a fun beverage birthed a crazy dream in us. We founded Edison in a continued pursuit of that dream. Edison is not only ingrained in our family name… It’s in our desire to explore, create, have fun, and grow together with coffee and people. It is our hope to use this business as a vessel to build-up, cultivate, and inspire. Thank you for being a part of it!

We do not see ourselves as being only in the business of crafting coffee – no, we see our independent establishment as a stage on which friendships are forged, relationships are renewed and the neighborhood finds a place to just hang out and have a good time.

And if you’re in the mood for a quick bite, we provide you with a variety of fresh baked pastries and house-made, kind-hearted vegetarian eats that come from a place of honesty.Why do we do this? Ever since Marty was a teenager learning the ropes in commercial kitchens decades ago, it’s been his dream to create the establishment you stand in today. Inspired by family vacations in the Texas Hill Country, Marty made it his goal to share the warm, welcoming feelings and memorable moments he experienced there. He crafted each detail of the kitchen to ensure efficient, high quality service for his guests; serving delicious meals made with care and creativity. He chose the finest meats available from ranchers who never use hormones or antibiotics because they taste better and they’re better for us. And he works with our staff to ensure a culture of hospitality and service is present in every detail.

Executive Chef Morris Salerno began his culinary career in the 1970s at the Fairmont Hotel in Dallas, Texas and later joined the prestigious Lowes Anatole Hotel in Dallas when he was only 27. In 1989 and 1991, Morris earned “Dallas Chef of The Year” by the Texas Chef Association. He was also selected as one of the “Top Ten Young Chefs of Dallas” by The Dallas Times Herald. He has also won numerous awards with the World Master Chefs Society Team USA in competitions in France, England, Ireland, Germany, Canada, Sweden and Thailand.
